This picture was taken in 1971 or so. My brother Casey made a pine needle fort. We had many wonderful times on our property in the mountains before ever moving there from the city. I suppose bordom was not something to be heard of as we always had the rock house, a tire swing that we swung on. Games in the evening with Nana and family with breakfast in the morning at Nanas cabin. When I last saw this fort in 1989 it was mostly still standing.

Casey found quite a few group of trees and started sticking sticks all around the trees to intertwine them and then he added the pine needles later. Pretty clever!
